"Franz Fox is a compelling, challenging artist born in Cuba, and educated in Europe. He leans heavily on symbolism and tradition, while integrating a mixed array of media and a fresh, contemporary technique."
"Born with creative juices in his blood and an island of color at his fingertips, Franz Fox was introduced to the arts early on. Making their way to the United States just before the Cuban missile crisis, the forced move marked the first stop on a long list of family travels.
Encouraged to never stop exploring different cultures and scenes, Fox went on to study painting in Paris, France and Malaga, Spain. The birthplace of his mother and country of family origin, across the globe, Fox feels most connected to the latter."

Six paintings by Franz Fox will be on display at The Painted Bride as part of a two man show, "When Myths Meet". Along with Al Johnson, in an exhibition curated and organized by InLiquid Art & Design, the show opens on First Friday April 7 and continues through May 12th.

Franz Fox works to be featured in NYC Steadfast Magazine Issue No. 3
Three paintings by Franz Fox have been selected for Steadfast Magazine's Issue No.3, A Tribute to Cuba. Steadfast Magazine is a New York City based bi-annual publication dedicated in valuing and supporting the contemporary artist in modern society. This issue is a devotion to Cuban and Cuban-American artist representation. Fox was born in Holguin, Cuba, the son of a prominent Havana attorney. His family immigrated to the US just before the Cuban Missile crisis. This issue of Steadfast Magazine will debut in Miami during Art Basel in December, 2016. Fox has been invited to participate in a curated group show at this event. His paintings Absinthe of Malice, Corpus and Windows will be featured.
